The campus hosts the George Washington Carver Museum, and located across the from the campus is The Oaks, Booker T. Washington's house. Then there is the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site, a place dedicated to some of the first African American Pilots who broke racial stereotypes and fought for thier county durring World War II. Also there is the Tuskegee National Forest, the smallest federally protected woodland area in the nation, where families can go camping, and enjoy other recreational activities.

With quite a dynamic history, and a very bright future, Macon County is a great place to visit, and a wonderful area to call home.
